For the past 25 years, I’ve enjoyed working as a designer in various roles. I have worked extensively in the newspaper and magazine industries, including seven years as a Project Manager for New Times/Village Voice Media and as a designer for Times Media Group. I have worked on magazines such as College Times, Scottsdale Press, and North Valley Magazine. I also put together a newspaper called The Neighborhood Beat from my home office and designed many catalogs. From brainstorming to results, I’ve managed many projects and taken on many other creative challenges. • • • I continually draw inspiration from the world around me, whether collaborating with fellow artists, observing the beauty of nature, staying attuned to cultural trends, or creating fine art alongside my design work. By combining this creative exploration with careful listening, I ensure that each design is original and uniquely tailored to meet every project and client's specific goals and functional needs. • • • My ability to think creatively and approach design challenges with a unique, fresh perspective makes me stand out as a candidate. With years of experience running my own business, I’m comfortable working remotely and enjoy collaborating in team environments where ideas are shared and improved to achieve great results. • • • While I appreciate many design styles, some of my favorite design styles and schools of thought include the 'less is more' approach, the use of grids in layouts, natural geometry and math like the Fibonacci sequence or golden ratio, point perspective, minimalist art, and the balance of form and function.
